Theresienstadt-Terezín 1941-1945
Ullman and Krása – students of Schoenberg and Zemlinsky respectively – feature in this programme alongside the so-called ‘father’ of Czech nationalist music, Smetana. Krása’s Brundibár was performed an astonishing 55 times in Terezín, carefully arranged by its composer for the forces available in the camp.
