BCSA "Get to know you" social, Wednesday 10 September, between 7pm and 11pm, Czech and Slovak National House, West HampsteadThis is an opportunity for anyone interested in the BCSA (members, supporters and friends) to meet, eat, drink, chat and get to know each other. We usually have about a dozen people there at various times during the evening just sitting around and talking. In recent conversations we discovered common acquaintances, learnt what is happening in Zilina and found volunteers for a volleyball team.
We have booked one of the rooms at the Czech and Slovak National House for the evening. All you have to do is turn up any time between 7pm and 11pm. Food and drink is available from the restaurant and bar.
Our socials are held on the second Wednesday or each month (apart from July and August) and the next ones are on 10 September, 8 October, 12 November, 10 December and 14 January. email us for details of our social events.
BCSA Annual Dinner is planned for Friday 28 NovemberOur Seventeenth Annual Dinner will be held on Friday 28 November, 7pm for 7:30pm at the Radisson Edwardian Marlborough Hotel, 9-13 Bloomsbury Street, London WC1. email us for details of the Annual Dinner.
Rituals, until 23 August, Gallery one one one, LondonThe upcoming exhibition at Gallery one one one will feature two distinct solo shows, under the common motif of the ritual. Rituals will be first UK exhibition by internationally acclaimed American artist Jason Dodge. For her show in the lower space, emerging artist Tereza Buskova will premiere a new film and photographic screen prints, a project commissioned by the David Roberts Art Foundation. www.galleryoneoneone.com

THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR AND THE KNIGHTS HOSPITALLER: London visits on Saturday, 5 JulyVisits are being arranged to the Temple Church, Fleet Street and St John's Gate and the Grand Priory Church, Clerkenwell, to discover something of these two monastic orders of military knights, founded in the 12th century. St John's Gate houses the museum of the Order of St John, and tells the story of the Knights Hospitaller who fought in the Crusades and founded states in Cyprus, Rhodes and Malta.
