BCSA "Get to know you" social, Wednesday 10 February between 7pm and 11pm, Czech and Slovak National House, West HampsteadThis is an opportunity for anyone interested in the BCSA (members, supporters and friends) to meet, eat, drink, chat and get to know each other. We usually have about a dozen people there at various times during the evening. Free admission.
We have booked one of the rooms at the Czech and Slovak National House for the evening. All you have to do is turn up any time between 7pm and 11pm. Food and drink is available from the restaurant and bar.
Our socials are usually held on the second Wednesday of each month (apart from July and August) and our next socials are on 10 March and 14 April.

Sue Ryder in Prague, Thursday 11 February 6.30pm, Czech Embassy, LondonMembers of the public are invited to attend the following event organised in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
Sue Ryder in Prague. A talk by Matej Lejsal of the Domov Sue Ryder.
Since its foundation in 2000, the Domov Sue Ryder in Prague has established itself as a leading provider of care in the Czech Republic for older people living with dementia. Starting as a volunteer, and now its Director, Matej Lejsal will look generally at the challenges facing the elderly in the Czech Republic and how these affect care providers such as the Domov. He will also talk about the partnership of the Domov with Sue Ryder Care and about the support it receives from Czechs living in Britain.
The event will be followed by the informal launch of the Domov's UK supporters' group operating under the patronage of our Sue Ryder Ambassador, Martina Cechova.
The meeting will be chaired by Ben Simms, who has longstanding connections with Central Europe and the Czech Republic, and is now Head of International Development at Sue Ryder Care.
